This is another salad where toasted sesame seeds are a star ingredient. Toasting the seeds is an extra little step, but I say it’s worth it to bring out an extra burst from these tiny flavour parcels.
This is also another salad based on one my mum and I collected from the “Eating in the 80s” cooking demonstrations we went to in, you guessed it, the 1980s. See my earlier post here for the broccoli and snow pea salad inspired by the same classes.
The chicken makes this one a substantial salad, perhaps a meal in itself. Marinate the chicken beforehand then cook it any way you like, such as in a frypan or on the BBQ.
